Exhibit Planning
Checklist

Start your exhibit planning with this helpful "To Do List":

Select the show(s) where you will exhibit
If you do not have an existing booth decide what size and configuration you need.
Identify if you need electrical or other services in the booth?
Decide if you need storage for materials?
If you already have a booth, do you need any updates?
Complete and submit your contract(s) for each show.
Familiarize yourself with show services deadlines (some have “early bird” deadlines that provide a cost savings).
Select your booth space at each show.
Reserve hotel space for staff.
Establish your goals for the event.
Plan and create all trade show promotions.
Decide what media/press out reach you want.
Define your lead management process.
Schedule your exhibit staff (who handles installation, who will dismantle, and of course when do they need to be in the booth during the exhibit hours).
Plan for all shipping of materials, and for any on–site services you may need.
Plan your in–booth workshops and/or sales presentations
Have a "Contact list" for on–site needs.
Hold a pre–show meeting to review goals, policies and booth staffing schedules.
Make sure schedules are posted and cell phones are programmed with manager contact information for show staff who may need assistance.
Pack comfortable shoes.
